How I Help . . .
After losing my father unexpectedly in 2022, I felt completely overwhelmed. My mother had passed away eight years earlier, and because my father had not completed any estate planning, I had no idea where to begin. Two people, who neither knew me nor my dad, took the time to guide me through the process. Their willingness to help a stranger during such a difficult period was an incredible act of kindness that I will never forget.
That experience changed me. It showed me the profound impact that knowledgeable, compassionate guidance can have on someone during one of the most difficult times in their life. It is a big part of why I do the work I do today. If I can help even one person navigate a challenging situation the way those individuals helped me, I feel that I am honoring and paying forward the kindness they extended to me when I needed it most.
